    picture in fiction

Experience this new dance work with a striking solo performance.

In Fiction is a new work from Action at a Distance that blurs the lines between the real and the imagined. This visceral solo strikes a balance between cognitive understanding and phantasmal imagination with engaging, highly physical results. Created and performed by Vanessa Goodman in collaboration with lighting designer James Proudfoot. Learn more »

Join us for a night with the talented, Mary Stallings!

Mary Stallings is a classic example of how it takes time, musical seasoning and living a full life to mature as a vocalist and to address a lyric properly. While youthful instrumentalists may have something to say, Stallings brings a lifetime of emotional intelligence that enables her to truly inhabit a lyric. With a career spanning seven decades and sharing the stage with such luminaries as Joe Williams, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald, Stallings’ appearance is one not to miss! Learn more »

Enjoy a new performance with powerful movement and driving beats.

This collaborative piece is built upon shared desires: to keep the conversation moving, to change what feels stuck or stagnant, to practice empathy and become better listeners, and to keep an authentic autonomy and group intention at play. Set in an environment striving to be in continuous transformation, the performers take charge of lighting and sound, shifting the movement in reaction to one another and the changing space. This creates a responsive, improvised state for those onstage and an enlivened experience for those witnessing. Learn more »
