Step-by-Step Closet Organization

  1. Donate or sell clothes you no longer wear. Separate your clothing into 2 piles: donate and keep. Once everything is sorted, you can begin organizing what to sell and what to donate. Insider tip–less is more! Less clutter means more time spent doing other things, like spending time with your loved ones, or sleeping in for a few extra minutes! It’s time to let go of what you don’t wear.
  2. Organize and hang your pants and skirts. Start by hanging your pants! Insider tip–use pant hangers that allow you to hang multiple pairs, to maximize the space of your closet. With the proper folding technique, you can hang up to 6 or more pants on each hanger! Same goes for skirts. Choose hangers that come with clips to ensure the skirt stays in place. Follow this technique and you will maximize your closetspace in no time.
  3. Organize and hang shirts. All types of shirts. Use a vertical tool for hanging multiple hangers, to minimize the amount of space you are using in the closet. Insider tip–keep shirts in a certain order to see which ones hardly get worn and could be donated at the end of the season!
